So it's taken me quite a while, but things here at Badinage Publications and the Lateral Thinking Questions Mailing List are making great strides. With a subscriber base of OVER 700 worldwide, the Mailing List subscription process is being automated. And that will leave yours truly with more time to actual send out the questions!
Here is this week's question:
ANSWER:
Bhupinder said that "In this ERA & age of E-Commerce, E-Business, E-Services, E- Mail, E-Speak, I guess the reason why we have so much power now attached to E, is that we humans lack one, and same so for the birds cats dogs. Well, happy E-thinking!"
"That was too EEEEasy," said JJJulia123. That's the first time I've seen anyone stutter while typing!
Gary McE. just screamed "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
"First I thought the answer was scruples," said John C. "Then I thought there is no way that a walleye could have more scruples than a turtle. I just can't imagine a world where a turtle would have to look up to a walleye. I must guess that the answer is the letter E."
Iswandi wrote "a b c d e f g.. h i j k l m n.. o p q r s t u.. v w x y and z.. count to 5ive then you'll find it."
"Could it be ESP? Or maybe EMF? Perhaps Etc?" asked civilstr. "EEEEEEEEEEK! what an ExcEptionally Exciting EntEndrE you havE put bEforE us... quick tEll us thE answEr and EmancipatE us from our stupidity!"
Jeff R. said "for once, the E's have it, not the I's."
"The letter 'e' has one," said c.m.m. "'Stupid question' has one, too. I have none."
Zbigniew said this was a "good start after such a long break, I've almost forgotten that I have the brain. These things are 'e' letters."
Yes, it was an Easy Question, but after such a long absence, I didn't want to overtax your (or my) brain with a really difficult one! That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it!
And speaking of easy, JillD (remove@jillknowsdating.com) wrote "Find your perfect match online now with a free membership! Hi, my name is Jill, and that's why I started JillKnowsDating.com" Is nothing sacred to these spam-happy slime-buckets (two E's!)? Jill may know dating, but she's automatically disqualified in the thinking department! We are not amused.
BTW, can you b_li_v_ that s_v_ral compani_s hav_ att_mpt_d to copyright or trad_mark th_ l_tt_r "e". I don't know how th_y _xp_ct to g_t away with it. Why it's TH_ most common l_tt_r in th_ _nglish Languag_!
