Lateral Thinking Questions

ANSWER: L.T.Q. #49

Date: Thu, 31 Oct 96 22:06 EST
Sorry this is a little late, but I've had computer problems up the ying-yang
like you wouldn't believe...
Here is this week's question:
Brandon, a normal(?) businessman with no criminal tendencies or physical
disabilities, was travelling to Convergence in Boston. Every time he came to
an airport, he took off his NiceBoots to save himself trouble with
airport security. He took his boots off for a few minutes only and then put
them on again. Why?
ANSWER:
Brandon's NiceBoots had steel buckles on them. He removed them,
along with all his chain mail, spikes, studs, splints, chains, big jewelry,
and perhaps even large metal plates riveted to leather jackets, every time
he came to a security check so as not to set off the metal defectors. He
probably had his Gundy with the wrought iron chastity belt safely tucked
away in a carry-on bag.
Andrew suggested it was because he didn't use OdorEaters, and the scent
caused the security people to pass out long enough for him to get to his plane?
And oddlystrange (in a very weird mood) said that he also needed to get his
pants off to show off his Prince Albert peircing. :)
"Yeah, so what are NiceBoots?" asked Lew. Sorry, but that's just one of
the inside references that you might not get. And I'm not explaining it.
